The
American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) is a national
youth development program in which trained coaches, referees, and
many other support volunteers work together to provide your child
with a fun and
rewarding soccer experience. Our philosophies of everyone
plays (equally), positive coaching,
good sportsmanship, open registration, and balanced teams
are the corner stones for our volunteer training. The
organization exists on the support of volunteers!
Age specific training is provided for all our coaches to help them
create a positive learning environment for their teams, in addition
to specific skills training. Referees are taught specific rules for
each age group and their job is to ensure that the children have a
fun, safe, and fair soccer experience.
All parents, grandparents and legal guardians can enhance their AYSO
experience by volunteering! Without VOLUNTEERS, we cannot provide
the wonderful experience we have for your kids! Please contact me
and ask me "HOW CAN I HELP??"
Walk-in Early Bird Registration dates
we currently have coming up are: May 12,
July 14 and August 4, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., at the Manzanita Park
Conference Room.
We are also setting up a Registration Booth
outside of the Prunedale Safeway on June 23, July 14 and August
4 from 10-1 p.m. The Early Bird Registration fee is $80.00
per child (this includes full uniform and photo package).
This year, there will be a $10.00 discount for every sibling.
The on-line registration process can be accessed by going to www.eayso.org
- follow the step-by-step process, print out your volunteer and
registration forms and bring to the Walk-In Registration.
AYSO for 4 year olds (U5 Division)
AYSO Region 256 announces the formation of a new Division (U5) for
4 year old boys and girls. Children who are
four by July 31, 2006 and live
within our Regional boundaries will be eligible to play
AYSO soccer.
The measure of success for our program is not the number of games
a team wins but the number of players that have fun while improving
their self -confidence and soccer skills.
Thank you for your interest in AYSO. There is some exciting youth
soccer yet to be played -- and I hope our program exceeds your expectations.
Sincerely,
Jesse D. Martinez
